<p>PURPOSE:To decide the corresponding multiwire cable that has a fault of transmission, by providing a spare line among the multicore cables. CONSTITUTION:In case the lower bit is set at 1 for a shift register SR1 in an input switching circuit IX, the signal given through an input line IN is led to a terminal of an output line OUT in an output switch circuit OX via a signal line C1 among the multiwire cable. In the same way, the signals given from the lines except an input line (n) are led to the output line via the corresponding signal line, respectively. While the signal given from the line (n) is led to the line (n) through a spare line R and with no intervention of a signal line Cn. The synchronism is secured between the shift registers SR1 and SR2, and the contents of the line Cn is given to a check circuit CH. Thus in case a fault arises to the line Cn among the multiwire cables, an exclusive OR circuit EOR delivers logic 1. Thus an error signal E is delivered. After this, the signal lines are successively checked in accordance with the shift actions of the registers SR1 and SR2.</p> |
