<p>PURPOSE:To improve the hardness, weather resistance, etc. of polycarbonate, by forming a specific acrylic type copolymer layer containing a ultraviolet light absorber on the surface of a molded article of an aromatic polycarbonate, making a cured protecting film of organopolysiloxane on it. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a molded article of an aromatic polycarbonate is coated with (A) a primer composition obtained by blending (i) a thermoplastic high-molecular-weight acrylic type copolymer having a molecular weight >=50,000 a copolymer of a methacrylic acid alkyl ester and an acrylic acid alkyl ester with (ii) a ultraviolet absorber, to give a primer layer, to which (B) a coating compound for top coating comprising curable organopolysiloxane, and it is cured to form a protecting film of organopolysiloxane.
