PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a brake by connecting the coil of a motor in a star connection, operating a neutral shortcircuit switch in delay from a power source switch and connecting a brake coil to the neutral point of the coil of one phase. CONSTITUTION:In a motor 1 having a brake 1 which is released when a voltage is applied to a brake coil 14, motor coils 13a-13c are connected in a star connection, and a neutral point shortcircuit switch is provided at the neutral point side of the coils 13a-13c. The switch is connected to operate through a delay circuit 16 from the operation of the switch, and one end of the brake coil 14 is connected to the neutral point side end Z of the coil 13c of one phase. In this manner, the same operation as the conventional operation can be performed with less power consumption, and the size of the brake unit can be reduced. |
