PURPOSE:To correct two-bit errors of a control memory to exclude memory errors quickly, by correcting and rewriting contents in an address, where a two- bit error occurs, with contents in a corresponding address of the other area. CONSTITUTION:A micro instruction is read out to a read data register RDREG 32 and is checked in an error detection control part 34. If a two-bit error is detected, it is transferred to an error address register EAREG35. Next, address data obtained by inverting bits 0 of contents of the EAREG35 is set to an ADDREG31. Contents of the ADDREG31 are stored in the RDREG32, and data obtained by inverting bits 0 of a next address part in contents of the ADDREG31 and inverting specific bits of an ECC is stored in a WDREG33, and contents of the EAREG35 are stored in the ADDREG31 again, and correction data is written to the error address from the WDREG33. |
