发明名称 LIQUID-CRYSTAL INSERTION TYPE LENTICULAR DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To reproduce an accurate three-dimensional image by improving resolution by inserting a liquid-crystal material which has a transparent and a whity state between transparent electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Lenticular plates 1 each having a transparent electrode 7 vapor- deposited on a back surface are opposed to each other, and a dynamic scattering effect type liquid-crystal material 8 is inserted between those transparent electrodes 7; and focal points of semicylindrical lenses of the plates 1 are set to planes where the electrodes and material 8 come into contact with each other. The electric transparency of the material 8 so varies that the material is transparent because respective molecules are arranged at right angles to the surfaces of the electrode 7 when no voltage is applied between the electrode 7, but whity because incident light is scattered owing the arrangement of respective molecules is disordered when some voltage is applied. Therefore, the molecules of the material 8 scatter light to obtain fine whity texture, so that an image having 1excellent resolution is reproduced.
