PURPOSE:To increase the number of degrees of fredom in the control for transfer to a subroutine and return from it, by provding a work register and micro instructions in a microprogram controlled information processing device. CONSTITUTION:In the microprogram controlled information processing device equipped with an address counter 1 which indicates the address of a micro instruction to be executed, an address register 3 which holds contents of the address counter 1, a control stack 5 which holds contents of the address counter 1 or the like when an interruption of a microprogram is generated, and an address stack 6 which holds address data for return for execution of a linked branch instruction, a work regisrer 4 is provided which holds contents of the address register or the like temporarily, and a micro instruction having the function to store contents of the address register 3 into the work register 4 is provided to control the device. |
