Selected 2-trichloromethyl-4-pyrimidinyl carboxylic esters and their use as fungicides

Disclosed are selected 2-trichloromethyl-4-pyrimidinyl carboxylic esters having the formula: <IMAGE> wherein R is a lower alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a lower alkenyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms a lower halo alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an unsubstituted or substituted phenyl group; R1 is hydrogen or halo; and R2 is a lower alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms. These compounds are disclosed to be agricultural fungicides.
