CONSTITUTION OF MAGNETIC HEAD OF MAGNETIC DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a read signal by canceling the intensity of cross talk from an adjacent recording track read by a main magnetic gap by the readout intensity of a recording track read by a subordinate magnetic gap by leveling. CONSTITUTION:On both sides of a main magnetic gap 2, subordinate magnetic gaps 3 and 3' having only reading functions and a little bit lower sensitivity than the main magnetic gap are arranged with a dielectric 11 between; and the main magnetic head 2 is opposed to a track 62, and the subordinate magnetic heads 3 and 3' are opposed to tracks 63 and 63' on both sides of the track 62. The readout outputs of the subordinate magnetic heads 3 and 3' are attenuated by amplifiers 4 and 4' as prescribed and then inputted to a filter circuit 5. The filter circuit 5 has a function of substracting the signals of the subordinate magnetic gaps 3 and 3' from the signal of the main magnetic gap 2.
