PURPOSE:To achieve less-noise recording and reproduction by putting a recording medium and a recording body in contact with each othr during recording and separating the recording medium and a reproducing stylus at a specific gap interval during reproduction. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 4 has a recording stylus 7 held by a float 5 with elastic rubber 6. The float 5 is held floating so that the tip of the recording stylus 7 touches the surface of a medium 1 lightly. Pressure which pressing the recording head 4 against the medium (in the opposite direction to floating force) is adjusted to allow the tip of the recording stylus 7 to touch the surface of the medium 1 lightly. In this state, the medium 1 and recording head 4 are run relatively to perform recording. A reproducing head 8 has a reproducing stylus 9 held by an air-floating float 5 with elastic rubber 6. The float 5 floats similarly to the recording head 4 and a gap G between the tip of the reproducing stylus 9 and the surface of the medium is held within an about 0.1-1mum range. |
