Arrangement for providing digital terminals with identity numbers in a digital communication system in which the digital terminals are connected to a terminal node which in turn is connected to a digital exchange. Each terminal is provided with a circuit for identity selection comprising a counter 17 started by applying voltage to the terminal, an electrical circuit 11, 12 charged by the same application of voltage and a threshold device 16 which, upon the passing of a particular voltage level of the electrical circuit's voltage when it discharges, stops the counter. By spreading the electrical parameters in the circuit, random values are obtained in the counter which are used as the identity number for the terminal. <IMAGE> |
