PURPOSE:To decrease axial length of a bearing and attain its miniaturization in a damping bearing, contained with a bearing supporting spring unit, suitable for a rotary machine tending to be operated at speed exceeding the critical speed, by arranging spring members of the bearing supporting spring unit in the bearing. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary shaft 2 is supported for a housing 1 through a bearing 3, the bearing 3 is resiliently supported by a bearing supporting spring unit 4. This supporting spring unit 4 is constituted by a housing 1, flanges 4a, 4b, fixed to the bearing 3, and plural spring members 4c, circumferentially provided between the both flanges 4a, 4b, and the spring members 4c are inserted into grooves 8, axially provided in the bearing 3, at a space. Further the bearing 3 is constituted preferably to be provided with said groove 8 and divided into an inner member 3A and outer member 3B from a viewpoint of disassemly and ressembly. Then oil is fed through oil passages 6, 7 to a slide bearing surface 3a of the bearing 3 and a fluid film damper part 5 between the housing 1 and the bearing 3. |
