PURPOSE:To raise the adhesion between a steel pipe pile and a bulb footing by a method in which a cylindrical concrete is placed in the surrounding area of the lower end portion of an almost vertical steel pipe pile, and the lower portion of the steel pipe pile and the inside of the concrete 1 are foot-protected with cement milk. CONSTITUTION:A concrete body 2 covered with a metal plate 8 is inserted into the lower end portion of a steel pipe 1, a fixing ring 9 is welded to the lowermost portion of the steel pipe 1, and the concrete body 1 is held by upper and lower rings 5 and 9 to make up a steel pipe pile 3. An auger shaft 11 with an excavating blade 13 is inserted into the hollow of said steel pipe pile 3 and while turning the steel pipe pile 3 by normal rotation of a motor 12, the ground is excavated. The tip of the pile 3 is footed in the support ground 14, and then the shaft 11 is pulled up while being turned reversely and while injecting cement milk into the ground 14. Thus, a bulb footing 4 so formed is strongly connected with the inner surface of the concrete body 2. |
