发明名称 IRON POWDER FOR POWDER METALLURGY WITH SUPERIOR COMPRESSIBILITY, FORMABILITY AND HARDENABILITY
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain iron powder for powder metallurgy with superior compressibility, formability and sinterability by preparing iron contg. a specified percentage each of carbon, nitrogen and oxygen and having a specified apparent density. CONSTITUTION:This iron powder consists of <=0.02% in total of carbon and nitrogen, <=0.10% oxygen and the balance essentially iron and has <=2.9g/cm<3> apparent density. To enhance the formability and sinterability the apparent density is regulated to <=2.9g/cm<3>, and the deterioration of the compressibility due to the reduced density is prevented by reducing the amounts of carbon, nitrogen and oxygen. Thus, this powder is made comparable or superior to atomized iron powder.
