PURPOSE:To enable manufacture of the case of a watch inexpensively and massively at a high efficiency by separating the case thereof to an inner body for retaining glass and a back cover and an outer body having a part serving as appearance and design thereof and a joint section with a band. CONSTITUTION:The case of a watch is composed of an inner body 6 for securely bonding glass 1 and retaining a back cover 7 and an outer body 5. The back cover 7 is retained on the inner body 6 through a plastic packing 9 in such a manner that the packing 9 is reduced diametrically to prevent the infiltration of water. The inner body 6 has a reverse 6a containing a dial plate and the like, a movement, external control shafts for a crown, a button and the like. The outer body 5 has a joint section with a band, namely, a ring 5a, enabling the mounting of a band. The inner body 6 is retained on the outer body 5 by bending a part of the lower end of the outer body 5 on an inclined surface 6b provided at the bottom of the inner body 6 after covered with the outer body 5. The outer body 5 serves as a part of appearance and design for the case and a joint section with a band. |
