PURPOSE:To prevent current from unbalancing, by temporarily turning OFF a transistor not related to a winding where new current begins to flow in a transition period, when a 5-pulse motor is driven by pentagon driven system. CONSTITUTION:Windings W1-W5 make a ring-like connection. Their junctions are connected to five pairs of transistors Tr1H, Tr1L, and so on. Current flowing in four excited windings is detected by a resistor R and compared with reference voltage by a comparator COMP. A control signal is generted toward each transistor via a gates G1-G5. A contorl circuit including a counter CONT and a read only memory M is provided to temporarily turn OFF the transistor not related to the winding where new currnt begins to flow in a transistion period to switch exciting phases. Therefore, this prevents the winding in operation from increasing in current and unbalancing. As a result, the revolution can be smoothed. |
