PURPOSE:To heighten the cooling efficiency of a radiator provided just behind a front wheel and inclined forward, by changing the direction of cooling wind caused under movement, depending on the speed of the movement, to obtain an always optimal cooling wind. CONSTITUTION:A radiator body 7, which is provided on the downwardly extending pipe 3 of the frame of a motorcycle, has a rectangular radiating section 8 in the center. An almost rectangular frame 13 is mounted around the radiating section 8 so that the frame diverges forward and projects forth from the radiator body 7. Four wind guide plates 14 are provided in a space surrounded by the frame 13, so that the wind guide plates extend in the transverse direction of the motorcycle. Each wind guide plate 14 is rotatably supported on a shaft 15 so that the inclination angle of the wind guide plate can be changed through a link 17 secured at one end on the shaft, by vertically moving a push rod 18. The push rod 18 is operated depending on the moving speed of the motorcycle. In its slow movement, the wind guide plates 14 are inclined with regard to the road surface as shown in the drawing. |
