<p>PURPOSE:To raise field accuracy of electric field strength and make its handling easy by forming Pockel's element by arranging two crystallized quartz elements that are nearly symmetric with respect to right and left in their natural optical polarization for change in temperature so as to make their natural polarizations nullify each other. CONSTITUTION:A Pockel's element 3' is formed with two crystallized quartzs 6A and 6B that have natural polarizations that are substantially symmetric with respect to right and left, and those quartzs are arranged so that their polarizations nullify each other with the result of no natural polarization with quartz element 6 and the Pockel's element 3' changes the angle of polarization plane for light from a ploarization ment in eact correspondence to the largeness of applied electric field and provides an exact electric field detection apparatus. Since crystallized quartzs are inexpensive and has constant optical loss through it and lends itself to easy working, an inexpensive and easy-to-manufacture and stable electric field detection apparatus can be had. Further, since crystallized quartzs have low dielectric constant, they give no effect on the electric field and the apparatus has high accuracy.</p> |
