PURPOSE:To decrease a distance between cylinders of an engine, decrease its weight and obtain its compactness, by longitudinally displacing at least two cylinders and devising the method of meshing crank gears, fitted to each crank, to primary gears. CONSTITUTION:In case of application to a 2-cycle 2-cylinder engine for an autobicycle, each cylinder 2a, 2b is arranged longitudinally and laterally in the displacement respectively by the prescribed amount, and the cylinder 2b is set to a position higher upward by Z than the cylinder 2b. Then of the crank gears 19a, 19b fitted to each crank 5a, 5b, the crank gear 19a is directly meshed to the first gear 21 of a primary shaft 20 while the crank gear 19b is meshed to the second gear 22 of the above described shaft 20 through an idle gear 24. In this way, the both cranks 5a, 5b are rotated reversely to each other at equal speed, further a distance bewteen the cylinders 2a, 2b is decreased. |
