<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate troubles caused by the choking, abrasion, etc. of conveying system with electricaly collected ash and to enable the treatment of ash, discharged during an overhaul of a boiler, by locating a separating means for ferrous material in the middle of an electrically collected ash-conveying pipe. CONSTITUTION:A wind-driven sorter 2 to separate ferrous material from ash is located in the middle of an ash-conveying pipeline 3A extending from an electric ash-collector 1 to an ash bin 6. The ferrous material is separated from the ash by the sorter 2 and discharged as a recovered ferrous material 12 from a rotary valve 15. On the other hand, the other fraction of the ash having smaller specific gravity is let flow from the outlet at the upper part of the pipeline 3A through the pipeline 3A, a threey-way switch valve 4B and cyclones 13A, 13B, and temporarily reserved in the ash bin 6, and then its necessary amount is fed from the bottom of the bin 6 through an ash-conveyer 7 and a pipe 10 to an incinerator 11. As a result, iron pieces and iron-contg. ash are separated from the ash to be discharged, the choking and abrasion of the electrically collected ash-conveying system are prevented, and combustion in the incinerator can be stabilized.</p> |
