The device is formed from two hollow half shells which are clipped together to enclose a battery and a lamp. A hollow formed along the top edge of the tester has electrical contacts at the lamp end and at the opposite end, one of the contacts extending along the greater part of the length of the hollow to accept fuse cartridges of different lengths. A pushbutton is mfd. from a transparent material, and if an intact fuse is inserted, closing the lamp supply circuit, the lamp light shows through the push button. Alternatively, when no fuse is in place the pushbutton bends down the contact to close the lamp supply circuit, and thus the device may be used as a simple torch. |
