PURPOSE:To increase efficiency of banking business and save labor by calculating number of unprinted lines of a bankbook using an operating device and, at the same time, comparing number of lines for printing information on the bankbook at the moment with calculated number of lines and issueing a new bankbook stored in a bankbook storing section according to the result of comparison. CONSTITUTION:A bankbook 9 is inserted in the bankbook insertion port 1 of a bankbook reading device and the page mark of the bankbook 9 carried to a carrying passage 23 is detected by a detector 10 and set to a register 19. Transaction information is read by a printing section 24 and printed successively. Magnetic stripe information is read by a magnetic head 11 and set to a register 20, and information of number of printed pages and number of lines sent from a magnetic control circuit 16 is written in the stripe of a bankbook 91. Number of unprinted lines of the bankbook 9 is calculated in an operation circuit 21 from number of pages and lines of the register 20 and information of printed lines of a register 30 sent from CPU. This is compared with printed information to be printed at the moment, and when there is no line for printing, a new bankbook 92 is issued from a bankbook storing section 25. |
