DEODORIZING METHOD AND APPARATUS USING SOIL

PURPOSE:To attain to enhance malodorant treating efficiency by forcedly passing a malodorant gas through soil by providing an air sucking means on the surface of soil. CONSTITUTION:The periphery of the malodorant passage 5 provided to and extended into the lower part of a soil deodrizing tank 10 is filled with a filler 11 with low gas passing resistance such as stone or the like and a support 12 such as a synthetic resin net or the like is laid on said filler 11 and a soil layer 13 having malodorant removing capacity is laid thereon. To the center part of the top plate 10a, a gas sucking apparatus 15 such as a ventilator or the like is installed and, to the periphery of the top plate 10a, a water collecting trough 10b is formed and rain water is penetrated into the soil layer 13 by a water sprinkling pipe 16. The inside of the tank is always held under a negative pressure condition by the gas sucking apparatus 15 and a malodorant gas is discharged into the filler 11 from small pores 5a of the malodorant gas passage 5 and subjected to deodorizing treatment in the soil layer 13 to be forcedly sucked to a direction of a soil surface and deodorized air in the space 14 of said tank 10 is exhausted to the atmosphere by the sucking apparatus 15.
