PURPOSE:To input optional characters in high speed without error, by inputting the characters belonging to optional character with key operation and enabling them on a desired coordinate through the specification of the characters on a screen. CONSTITUTION:In inputting a Kanji (Chinese character) ''KA'' belonging to optional characters, a key on a keyboard 4 is operated. Then, a pattern memory 2 is accessed, character pattern data of ''KA'' is read and introduced to a display information generating section 8 and an optional character area managing table 7. The section 8 transmits a display information format 12 to an input display area P and a working display area Q. On the other hand, the character pattern of ''KA'' is stored on the optional character managing table 7. In a display device 3, this is stored on a screen memory 10 and displayed on a screen 9. Next, when the same character ''KA'' is desired to be inputted again, after the location to be inputted next is indicated with a cursor and the character ''KA''on the area Q is pointed out. Thus, the character pattern data on the table 7 is read, stored in the memory 10 and the character ''KA'' is displayed on the area P. |
