PURPOSE:To economize installations for a molding line by casting cast iron castings and malleable cast iron castings on the same line, making the cooling line for the malleable cast iron castings longer than the cooling line for the cast iron castings and making it possible to change over these. CONSTITUTION:In the case of cast iro castings, the lower molding flasks 29 contg. the drags molded with a drag molding machine 2 are turned over by a draft turning over machine 3, are set therein with cores and are fed to a cope molding line 4 with a traverser 7. These are registered with the copes molded with a cope molding machine 6 in a flask registering device 9 and molten metal is charged therein in a charging line 5 with a weight retransferring device 10. Thence, they are fed with a traverser 12 to a cooling line 11, where they are knocked out with a mold kock-out device 13. In the case of malleable cast iron castings, the flasks are retransferred in the first station position of the cooling line 11, and are fed with a traverser 20 to the 1st, 2nd cooling pool lines 19, 21, by which they are thoroughly cooled. After this, they are retransferred with the traverser 20 and are returned again to the cooling line. |
