PURPOSE:To draw thick lines by dot graphic efficiently by sending the dot graphic designated by drawing parameter on a main memory by operation of a central processing device from the device of this system to a dot display device and thereby making dot printing by the display device according to graphic information. CONSTITUTION:The system is constituted by an input section 1, a central processing device 2, a main memory 3, a Japanese line printer 4 and a page buffer 5, and request for thick line drawing and drawing parameter are inputted from the input section. Execution of a program for thick line drawing is started by the processing device 2, and an area for thick line drawing is secured on the main memory 3, and thick lines of specified shape are plotted in the area by dots. Next, the thick line information is sent to the printer 4, and the thick line information received by the printer 4 is stored once in the buffer 5. When the buffer is filled up, a dot printer mechanism is operated and thick line printing is started. Thus, thick lines are drawn efficiently. |
