PURPOSE:To achieve effective use of a time slot, by inserting a control signal to an arbitrary point of time through the use of a frame pattern violation in a time division multiplex communication. CONSTITUTION:A frame signal F and inversion F' are normally inerted to a time slot of a frame pattern alternately, and signals of channels CH1-CHN are sequentially transmitted with multiplex next to each frame pattern. When the transmission of a control signal is required, the same patterns as consecutive F, F or F' and F' are inserted for the frame signal to perform frame pattern violation and a control signal C is inserted just after the pattern. When the reception side detects this frame pattern violation, the control signal C is picked up. Thus, since the time slot for the control signal C is not especially required, the time slot can effectively be used. |
