<p>PURPOSE:To discriminate if input character information is consonant or vowel simply, by providing a discrimination bit indicating vowel or consonant to a signal generated through the depression of alphabetical keys and discriminating the discrimination bits. CONSTITUTION:When a Kana(Japanese syllabry) letter is desired to be printed or displayed, and when a desired key of an alphabetical letter key is depressed, a code signal corresponding to a depressed key is generated at a signal input section 1 and transferred to a consonant discrimination circuit 3 via an AND gate 9. Each character code signal is added with a discrimination bit distinguishing vowels and consonants, and the circuit 3 discriminates the vowels and consonants of the code signal. If the code signal is a vowel, this is transferred to a character generator 6 directly. On the other hand, if the code signal is a consonant, this is transferred to a one letter buffer circuit 4. The consonant signal is waited at the circuit 4 and it is transferred to the generator 5 at the same time as the incoming of the next vowel signal. In the generator 5, a character pattern of a corresponding Kana letter is formed with a transmitted signal and the result is displayed on a display device 6.</p> |
