<p>PURPOSE:To enable to regenerate an adsorbent within a short time by a method wherein an outer cylinder is provided to the outer peripheral surface of an adsorbing tower so as to provide a gap therebetween and air is introduced into the adsorbing tower through the inside of said gap to carry out uniform heating. CONSTITUTION:In an adsorbing process, moisture-containing air 12 is introduced into an adsorbing tower 8 from the lower part thereof and discharged from the upper part of said adsorbing tower 8 in the form of dry air 13. In a regenerating stage, hot air 11 is sent to the lower side A of the gap 9 between the adsorbing tower 8 and an outer cylinder 10 at first and led upward through the gap while heating the outer peripheral surface of the adsorbing tower 8 and reaches the upper side B of said gap and is introduced into the adsorbing tower 8 therefrom to regenerate an adsorbent 7 and exhausted from the lower side A of the adsorbing tower 8 as moisture-containing air 14. As described above, because the hot air is introduced into the adsorbing tower 8 from the lower part thereof and led upward while heating the adsorbing tower 8 from the outer wall thereof, the lower part of the adsorbing tower where moisture to be removed is highest is heated most intensely. So the temp. distribution becomes uniform.</p> |
