PURPOSE:To increase the Q value of the major oscillation without being affected with suboscillation, by reducing a crystal impedance at the major oscillation and remarkably increasing the crystal impedance in other suboscillation. CONSTITUTION:A quartz oscillator 4 is formed with a quartz bar 5 being a piezoelectric element and driving electrodes 6 and 7 provided at opposing plnes of a quartz bar 5. A supporting member of the quartz bar 5 is fixed to an external circumference of lead electrodes 6a and 7a and a voltage is applied to the electrodes 6 and 7 from the supporting member. A central through-hole 8 and two symmetrical through-holes 9 and 10 are provided at the center of the electrode 6. In the central through-hole 8, the center part has a narrow width W2 toward the X and both sides of the center on the Z axis have a broad part W1 toward the X axis. The central part with narrow width corresponds a charge concentrated region of the main oscillation and both the sides with broad width correspond to two regions where charges of the suboscillation are concentrated. The symmetrical through-holes 9 and 10 are symmetrical to the Z axis and arranged on the X axis. The through-holes 9 and 10 correspond to two regions at both sides where the charges of the suboscillation are concentrated. |
