PURPOSE:To provide a fixing device for heat sensitive recorder having a compact light source of less power consumption which is capable of reducing fixing time by means of such an arrangement wherein light from the light source are effectively condensed and applied to a heat sensitive recording paper and lights are also prevented from being diffused to other portions. CONSTITUTION:As a light source 1 for fixing, a fluorescent tube of approximately 400nm in wavelength is used and the width of the upper portion of a cover 3 is made smaller than the diameter of the fluorescent tube to raise its light condensing efficiency and the interior of the cover 3 is made of a material of high reflecting efficiency. A filter glass 4 which shuts off lights of more than 500nm in wavelength is provided at the upper portion of the cover 3 and lights from the device are prevented from being diffused outside. |
