PURPOSE:To make it possible to shorten the molding time and to realize the high productivity in the manufacture of a wheel disc by a method wherein a large number of prepreg sheets having the predetermined width, the fibers of which are orientated, are laminated to one another in such a manner that the sheets are angularly shifted to one another to a mold material so as to be nearly tangent to a center circle with a predetermined radius on the mold material and finally cured. CONSTITUTION:Prepreg tapes 3, each of which is cut to the lengths nearly equal to the diameter of a turn table 1, are laminated to one another in such a manner that the tapes are angularly shifted to one another to the turning table 1 so as to be tangent to the outer periphery (or center circle) of a shaft 2. The laminated prepreg tapes 3 are removed from the turn table 1 and, after that, pressure-molded. The laminate of the prepreg sheets 3 is placed on a surface plate 4 and, after that, covered through a release film 5 by a rubber sheet 6 and further covered by a bleeder cloth 7, which is woven of glass fiber, and furthermore placed by an iron plate 8 at its center. Finally, the resultant assembly is covered by a bag film 9 so as to cover the whole. At this time, a sealer 10 is interposed between the bag film 9 and the surface plate 4 for sealing. The interior of the bag film 9 is evacuated and at the same time pressure is applied from outside the bag film 9 for molding. |
