PURPOSE:To improve the cleaning efficiency and to prolong greatly the lifetime of a cleaning member, by setting a magnetic member and a toner recovering roll at the lower part of a cleaning roll containing a cylindrical porous elastic matter fixed on a sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic member 7 is set within a range of the magnetic sucking force of a permanent magnet 6 and at the lower part of a cleaning roll 3 containing a cleaning member 5 made of a cylindrical porous elastic matter fixed on a sleeve 4. At the same time, a toner recovering roll 8 having a permanent magnet 10 is set in a sleeve 9. Thus the magnetic toner 2 stuck to the member 5 is detached from the surface of the member 5 at the position near the member 7 by the repulsion of the same polarity and drops into a recovering container 12. Some of the toner 2 is scattered in the opposite direction and adsorbed by the sleeve 9 to be collected into the container 12 through a scrape- off plate 11. In such way, the cleaning efficiency is improved and at the same time the lifetime is greatly prolonged for the member 5 since it has just a light touch to a photoreceptor 1. |
