The invention relates to a device for continuously measuring element contents in pulps, independently of the pulp density and pulp composition, using X-ray fluorescence analysis by means of a measuring chamber with a pulp flow channel which is provided with measuring windows on both sides, the detector being arranged behind one of the measuring windows, and a primary radiation source and a target being arranged behind the other measuring window, the detector receiving the transmitted primary radiation and target radiation and also the excited X-rays. This device is to be designed in such a way that it allows an analysis of, for example, Pb in PbS/ZnS flotation pulps with widely different Pb contents from 0.1 % in the total rock flow up to 84 % and more in the Pb concentrate. For this purpose, it is provided that, between the detector and the associated measuring window, a ring source for irradiating the pulps is provided around an open passage, formed as collimator for the primary radiation and target radiation and also the X-rays excited by the primary source and ring source, between the measuring window and detector. |
