PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting of timer time by providing a timer part having a sound generating mechanism and an operation and indication system for a basic timepiece independently of each other. CONSTITUTION:A basic timepiece consists of a reference oscillator 1, a frequency dividing circuit 2, a driving circuit 3, a motor 4, and an indication part 5. When the switch 6 of a timer part is operated once, a buzzer 11 sounds at intervals of one second for one minute by a signal generated by the frequency dividing circuit 2 at intervals of one second and the output of a one-minute timer 15. When the switch 2 is operated >= two times, an operation frequency detecting circuit 12 detects that to stop the output signal (n) of an AND gate 14, and the timer time which corresponds to the operation frequency is counted by a part 8 without generating a sound for an elapsed time, thereby putting the buzzer 11 in operation a certain time later. |
