Composition for accelerating the drying of hydrophilic materials

A method for accelerating the drying of wet hydrophilic materials by exhaustively treating these with an aqueous liquor which contains a) a cationic, fibre-affinitive water-soluble compound and b) an emulsified polyethylene wax, and subsequently drying them, this aqueous liquor containing the components a) and b) taken together in a concentration of 0.05-1.0 gram per kilogram of dry material.
