PURPOSE:To make product quality constant and to economize electric power for annealing by measuring the outside diameters of a wire at the inlet and outlet of an electroannealing machine for wire drawing and annealing and controlling the electric energy to be supplied to the annealing machine in such a way that the difference thereof attains the set value. CONSTITUTION:A roughly drawn wire 10 is passed through a wire drawing mill 20, and is drawn down to a prescribed wire diameter. This is annealed with an electroannealing machine 30, after which it is coiled under constant tension with a coiling machine 40. At this time, outside diameter measuring machines 50, 52 are provided respectively at the inlet and outlet of the machine 30, to measure the difference in the outside diameters of the wire 12 before and after the annealing. When the difference thereof is smaller than the preset constant value, the supply quantity of the electric power to the machine 30 is increased to anneal the wire at high temp. When the difference is large, the supply quantity of the electric power is reduced to lower the temp. |
