PURPOSE:To recover converter gases stably despite the change in the amt. of the gas produced in a converter by branching part of the recovered converter gas from after the suction device of a waste gas recovering system, and sucking the same into between before the suction device and after the skirt of the converter port. CONSTITUTION:The waste gas produced in a converter 1 is cooled in a water cooled hood part and radiation part 6, and receives water spraying in a primary dust collector 7 and a secondary dust collector 8, whereby the dust in the waste gas is separated. The waste gas flows through a suction device 11 and is stored via a 3-way valve 12 into a gas holder 13. Arrangement is so made to permit sucking of part of the waste gas in the holder 13 into between before the device 11 and after a skirt 4 by controlling a bypass valve 21 after boosting the same with a booster 19. Hence, it is possible to stabilize the amt. of the recovered gas by the above-mentioned method even when the amt. of the waste gas is small as in an initial period of blowing. |
