In electrical contact plug connections, having a plug (ST) and socket (BS), there is a problem in making contact correctly and securing the contact in the closed state with a minimum extraction force which can be specified while at the same time providing easy handling without special locking elements. The contact plug connection solves this problem by a resiliently acting pressure device for contact elements and contact securing elements. In design, a positively locking latch is achieved between the socket and the plug with the aid of movably supported latching bodies (RK) on which the resiliently acting pressing device (AP) acts, which pressing device (AP) allows the latching body to engage in a positively locking manner when the plug connection is closed into a corresponding latching recess in the respectively opposite plug connection part (ST). The geometrical shape of the latching body and the latching recess, as well as the dimensioning of the pressing device, permit the setting of defined positively locking forces which are constant in the long term and are adequate for retention security. <IMAGE>
