The dental saliva pump comprises two parts movably joined to each other: a suction pipe (2) and a suction body (1). It is advantageous in that it takes effect at that site in the mouth which is most favourable for suction, in that it does not trouble the patient by pressure on to the floor of the mouth, in that it does not impair the dentist's work and in that it cannot suck on to the mucous membranes. The dental saliva pump can be designed as a disposable article and consist of plastic completely or partially if the suction pipe (2) is made of metal and only the suction body (1) is designed as a disposable article. The suction channels are fitted on the underside of the suction body (1) and communicate with the suction pipe (2). <IMAGE>
