A process for accelerating the drying of a wet hydrophilic substrate, e.g. in a washing process, comprising the steps of (i) applying to the wet substrate by an exhaust process 0.05 to 1.0 per kg dry weight of substrate of a mixture comprising a cationic agent having affinity for the fibres and an emulsified polyethylene wax in an aqueous medium, and (ii) subsequently drying the substrate. |
