PURPOSE:To miniaturize the outside shape of an ink jet recording head by using a system in which piezo-electric elements are positioned in a common ink chamber in such a way that they are lapped in parallel with the bottom of pressure chambers facing each other multi-nozzles arranged in plane. CONSTITUTION:On a plane on which pressure chambers C provided with piezo- electric elements 6H are arranged, a common ink chamber F is provided in a place where they are lapped. Ink is supplied to each pressure chamber C through an ink supply path G. In line with the arrangement of the common ink chamber F, an ink supply port 6J is provided near the common ink chamber F, and ink is supplied in the same manner as in the conventional way into the common ink chamber F, the ink supply path G, the pressure chambers C, and a communication path B.
