PURPOSE:To surely conjoin a bead core and a filler to each other, by making the top side of the polygonal cross section of the bead core longer than any other sides to prevent an air layer from being left between the bead core and the filler. CONSTITUTION:The cross section of a bead core 12 is shaped as an inequilateral hexagon and comprises a top side 12a, both upper sides 12b, both lower sides 12c and a bottom side 12d. The top side 12a is longer than any of the other sides 12b, 12c, 12d. The cross-sectional shape of the bead core 12 is asymmetric as to its center line extending in the direction of the axis of rotation of the tire but is symmetric as to the other center line extending in the radial direction of the tire. After one leg 5c provided on the bottom of a filler 5 is put in pressure contact with one upper side 12b of the bead core 12, the other shorter leg 5d of the filler is put in pressure contact with the other upper side 12b of the bead core so that the filler is conjoined to the bead core without leaving an air layer between the filler and the top side 12a of the bead core. |
