PURPOSE:To facilitate the attachment and detachment of a type wheel by using a system in which a positioning means is provided between the type wheel of a typewriter and the rotary shaft of a type selection motor and the type selection motor is turned in given amount in connection with the closing operation of a cover. CONSTITUTION:Positioning means 12C and 20 are provided between the rotary shaft 9a of a type selection motor 9 and a type wheel 10, whereby relative positions of both are decided. Also, the control circuit of a typewriter inclinationally moves the motor 9 in a given amount in connection with the closing operation of the cover 23 of a printer or a power source switch. Thus, under the condition that the relative positions in the turning direction between the type wheel 10 and the rotary shaft 9a are biased, they are attached to the rotary shaft 9a, and a placing base 8 is inclined from the position where the type wheel can be detached to the position where printing can be made, whereupon the shaft 9a and the wheel 10 are relatively turned by the rotation of the shaft 9a on the basis of a signal from the control circuit 24. During the relative turning period, the positioning means 12C and 20 are actuated by a positioning plate 22 to position the shaft 9a. |
