A container made of plastic with a neck part, on which a closure cap is placed, in particular for medical rinsing solutions or the like, must above all be sterile on its neck part (3) so that sterile removal of the rinsing solution is possible. For this purpose, provision is made for the neck part (3) to be of long design and to have smooth outside surfaces and for there to be placed on said neck part a closure cap (4) which has a transversely divisible shell and smooth inside surfaces and the lower edge of which is welded to the neck part (3) without interruption.
