PURPOSE:To mold a composite material pipe efficiently and inexpensively by a method wherein after centrifugal-molding a raw material layer, a high-frequency voltage is applied between a pressure roller and a cylindrical mold to melt thermoplastic resin pellets and the pellets are finally cooled. CONSTITUTION:While rotating the cylindrical mold 1 around a horizontal axis 3, the raw material layer 14 is formed on a mold surface 5 by centrifugal molding. The layer 14 consists of the thermoplastic resin pellets, reinforcing fibers and sand. Then, while inserting a rod 9 into the interior of the mold 1 and pressing the raw material layer 14 by the pressure roller 10, a high-frequency power source 13 is electrically connected to both split rings 7, 11, whereby the layer part 10 making contact with the roller 10 is induction-heated in the direction of thickness so that the pellets are melted. Finally, the roller 10 is taken out and a coolant is supplied into a cooling pipe 6 to cool the composite material. |
