PURPOSE:To easily count the number of paper sheets discriminated as necessary and unnecessary for printing by only one printer by providing a system in which the position of a printing mechanism can be switched to a printing state or resting state for a paper counter having a printing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Paper sheets sent out of a sending roller 28 are pulled out with high speeds by pulling rollers 42a and 42b. At this time, two pairs (upper and lower) of photosensors 44 are provided in the position of a guide plate 43b, whereby the number of papers passing is counted. On the other hand, a printing roller 47 in a printing mechanism 46 provided above the pressing roller 45 is pressed on the paper and the paper is thus put between the pressing roller 45 and the printing roller 47 and a necessary printing is made on the paper. The printing mechanism 46 is so designed that printing state and resting state can be switched to each other by the rocking movement of an operating lever 63. |
