PURPOSE:To form a controller for DC motor in a small size, and to enable to perform operation at a very low speed with high precision by regenerative braking by a method wherein an auxiliary system for exclusive use for operation at a very low speed consisting of a series circuit of a step-down transformer, thyristor rectifiers connected in antiparallel, and a switch, is provided. CONSTITUTION:When a motor DM for driving of a roll is to be used both for regulation of press down position, the auxiliary system consisting of the series circuit of the step-down transformer 19 for rectifier, thyristor devices 20 connected reversibly, a DC reactor 21, and an electromagnetic switch 22, is provided in parallel with a thyristor rectifier 12 to be made to conduct at roll driving time. At very low speed operation time to perform regulation of press down position, the electromagnetic switch 22 is closed, and operation is controlled performing regenerative braking by the auxiliary system thereof. |
