<p>PURPOSE:To provide both functions of graphic tablet and data tablet, by providing a means detecting coordinates for inputted points, a means for discriminating an area including the inputted point, and an item plane and a swithcing means. CONSTITUTION:When an input is made to an effective input plane 2 on an input pad 1, a position detecting circuit 4A of a control circuit 4 detects the coordinate of an inputted point, and an X coordinate output signal 41, a Y coordinate output signal 42, and a pen down signal 43 are out-putted. In this case, the system functions as a graphic tablet. When the system is used for item selection, an item sheet 5 where marks 5A-5C to detect the position of the sheet are described at the back side, for example, is accurately overlapped on the plane 2, item sheet position sensors 3A-3C detect the marks 5A-5C, an item sheet position discriminating circuit 4B outputs a signal 47, and an area discriminating circuit 4D transmits an address signal and an item code output enable signal 45 for the function as a data tablet.</p> |
