PURPOSE:To measure the coating rate at the same time as press-contact without breaking down a composite strip, by measuring thickness of the inlet side of a press-contact roll of each material, and its speed, and calculating the coating rate of a metallic material. CONSTITUTION:In case when each metallic strip consisting of (n) kinds of metallic materials is placed in layers, and a composite strip is manufactured by press- contacting said metallic strip with a press-contact roll 3, thickness of plates H1, H2-Hn of the inlet side of the press-contact roll 3, of said (n) kinds of metallic strips, and speeds V1, V2-Vn in the inlet side of the press-contact roll 3 of these (n) kinds of metallic strips are measured. Subsequently, the coating rate of a metallic material (j) is calculated by the expressionI. In this regard, (aj), (Vj), and (Hi) denote the coating rate of the metallic material (j), a speed in the inlet side of the press-contact roll 3 of the metallic material (j), and thickness of a plate in the inlet side of the press-contact roll 3 of the metallic material (j), 1<=(j)<=(n), respectively. |
