发明名称 LOW INERTIA VARIABLE SPEED INDUCTION MOTOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the rotating energy for the rotor torque by a method wherein a driven component composed of components smaller in size and ligher in weight including an independent cup shaped rotor positioned opposed to a yoke and a supporting board for the cup shaped rotor. CONSTITUTION:A low inertia variable speed induction motor is provided with a stator 14 fixed to the inside of the outer wall of a housing 10, a yoke 6 fixed opposing the stator 14 across a very small gap to the inside of the inner wall of the housing 10, a cup shaped rotor 30 inserted into said gap to rotate freely and fixed to a driving shaft 26, and an electro-magnetic brake 42 installed on the driven shaft 26 to control the rotation of the driven shaft 26. Excitation of the stator coil 12 induces a rotating magnetic field in the gap thanks to the cooperation of the stator 14 and the yoke 16, resulting in the generation of an eddy current in the cup shaped rotor 30 inserted in the gap. Driving torque is generated in the cup shaped rotor 30 and a mechanical output is obtained via the driven shaft 26.
